PriceMate NZ ("we", "us") is operated by Next Wave Limited, a New Zealand company. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights.
Location: if you grant permission, we use your phone's GPS to show nearby stations. Location data is processed on your device and is not stored on our servers.
Account info: if you create an account, we store your email, display name, and a hashed password. Email is never shared with third parties.
Price reports: when you submit a fuel or grocery price, we save the station, fuel type, price, time, and your account ID. Your display name is shown alongside the price.
Favourite stores: the stores you mark as favourites are saved to your account.
Anonymous usage: we use Supabase analytics to count things like "how many users opened the app today". No individual identifying info is shared.
We do not show ads. We do not sell your data. We do not track you across the web. We do not collect contacts, photos, microphone, or anything beyond what's listed above.
All data is stored in Supabase's Sydney AU region. Encryption at rest and in transit is handled by Supabase. We do not transfer data outside Australia.
You can request a copy of your data, request deletion of your account, or correct any information by emailing support@pricemate.nz. We respond within 14 days.
PriceMate is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If we change this policy materially, we will notify users by email and an in-app notice 14 days before the change takes effect.
